General guidelines when making a poster

  1. Make the poster in PowerPoint (or equivalent software). When you are done, save as a PDF-file.
  2. The poster should have a clear title.
  3. Name of the author and co-authors need to be included, as well as the author’s organization (university or agency etc) and contact information (email address).
  4. Try to have a clear structure where aim, method, results and conclusions can be found quickly.
  5. Keep the text short and concise. Use a font size that can be easily read from a screen. Keep in mind that visuals/illustrations are often better than words.
